Do you tend to date a certain type of guy/gal? Do you go for the artsy type, the athlete or the musician?

Have you ever changed your type and how did that work out?

It's changing constantly for me. I've dated businessmen, construction workers, college professors, salesmen, musicians and cowboys. I do tend to date more men in construction though, partly because I have a fairly masculine job, and that's a little intimidating for an accountant, and partly because there's just so much construction here in town.

My "type" is usually more driven or outgoing. It's just tough to be a shy man around me.

I tried going against that type by dating the infamous Cowboy, but that backfired when he turned out to be a racist. Not something I can deal with. So now I'm just sitting back and doing nothing. Should be interesting.

I tend to go for the innocent type of woman. I definitely prefer the ones that appear to be innocent but are not so innocent in reality.

I am attracted to a moderate & balanced personality. I care most about how they socialize with me. They could be outgoing or shy... just as long as they are comfortable with me.

Not necessarily athletic but definitely partakes in some sort of exercise. Her hobbies are less of a concern.

I am attracted to certain physical characteristics... but they do vary quite a bit.

My type tends to be smart and funny (usually sarcastic wit) and has to be kind and not mean. Happy and optimistic are important too.

Staying fit is important. I don't mean being Mr. Muscle Man but definitely someone that exercises and takes care of himself.

A bit of confidence is nice too

Mostly I date roundy types. Some are more round than others. The more round they are the more they like me. I once got to date an actual slim girl, I liked that but she did not like me.

Recently I have been getting matched with a lot of artsy types. Artists, musicians, even a ballerina. dHarmony confuses creativity with artistic. Creative I am, artistic I am not. So I really do not have anything in common with the artsy types.

I like to date men who are athletic and love sports. A sense of humor is also high on the list.

Being creative is an artistic quality. Even woodworking is an art. Pretty much anything that you can do with your hands or your mind is artistic.

I am a bit artsy, so I used to always date artsy type guys. As I've matured, I've discovered that really I like someone who is a bit more down to earth to keep me grounded. Plus, I tend to have many of those artsy-type personality characteristics, so it's good for me to be with someone who is a little more practical than I am.
