Who had a date this weekend and how did it go?

If you did not have a date this weekend, what did you do? Did you have a nice weekend?

~~~
No date for me, I just hung out with my best friend and his doggie and watched a bunch of movies, went out to eat a couple of times.
One fun & interesting thing we did was we checked out a couple of Asian supermarkets - my first time doing so - SO interesting! It was really cool to see all the different products and interesting to see what "American" products made the cut to be included in their mix.
We also went to a bookstore where I snagged a couple of little Christmas gifts for my Mom (can't start that shopping early enough).
I also worked a bunch.
Fun, relatively mellow weekend which as always was too short.
Hope your weekend was great too - let's hear about it!
On Saturday afternoon, my SO and I went to the park to do some reading for school. It was a gorgeous day - +34. We went right down to the lake and sat under this enormous tree. That evening, my SO and I took his daughter out with us. We took her out for ice cream and then went for a walk in the park. That's where it got really fun! Steve (yeah, that's his name ) has a Great Dane and earlier this summer he had a pony cart made for him. This dog is huge. So, we loaded the cart and the dog into a friends truck and headed off to the park. When we got there, we hitched up the dog to the cart, Steve's daughter and I hopped in and off we went. It was fun, though slightly embarrassing to be stared by everyone who saw us. lol After our little outing, we dropped Steve's daughter off at home and then met up with the friend who loaned us his truck and we all went out to Wendy's and then Tim Horton's. Good times!
Yesterday we went to church in the morning and then I used part of my birthday money from my Grannie for lunch at McDonald's. Happy birthday to me. lol Then we picked up his son and went to Toys'R'Us to find something he needed for a computer game he has. I dropped them off at Steve's place and then he picked me up after he took his son home and I cooked supper for us. We did some more reading and then called it a night.
It was a busy weekend, but a fun one! And now the countdown is on for the trip home to introduce him to my parents . . . 20 days . . . .
And given that Lori works for the company, she should get a discount at least!
Lori, You're killing me with the Christmas shopping already!!
No dates for me this weekend. I did have a great weekend though. played the worst round of golf and lost a few $$ but had a great time doing so.
My weekend basically consisted of procrastination, though some of it was at least fun. I find house work goes a lot faster while singing & dancing to Mama Mia. (May need to incorporate that movie into my weekly routine). Then I felt the need to hug somebody. Finding no willing men in my immediate vicinity, I hopped in the car and hugged and tickled my niece and nephew to my hearts delight.
Sunday I went with a friend after church to have pizza in the park. It was a lovely sunny day for it. Then I told her I HAD to go, because I had this German paper to write. Naturally, I spent the rest of the evening on eHa instead & skipped my German class today . (Cut me some slack, it is my last semester & I've been a goodie-two shoes for all the years I've been at this!) It was a lot more fun getting virtually drunk with my virtual friends than writing German papers.
Ok, so my weekend was quite wonderful for me, which seems to be becoming a regular thing. Yay!
I stayed home on friday night jus chillin for a change instead of the usual out with friends an family dinner. Loved that.
Saturday, I pressure washed my back deck to get all that nasty alge off so I can stain/seal it this comin sunday(that took 3 1/2hrs) yay (if only i knew how much work ownin a house would be before I ever bought it lol)
Then got cleaned up an lookin pretty good, if I do say so myself , an waited for my friend to get there, we sat an chatted a while then decided to go for a movie, we seen 'Whiteout' it was ok but we were expecting a 'scary movie' so we were a lil dissipointed about the whole thing but made the best of it as it were.
After the movie we drove round singin loud an off key to songs on the radio, laughed, talked more, had a blast in general.
Then back to my house where we watched Me, Myself an Irene.
I aint ever seen him laugh SO hard over such a movie lol had me laughin at him laughin which is kinda funny in its self.
He an I hung round talkin an jus bein till bout 6am sunday mornin when he went home.
Sunday I slept in til noon an got around to go visit my cousin, his boxer jus had pups an I get one! (sadly i have to wait 6 weeks an i've never been good at waitin) So I got to see my future pup and had fun gettin my buttox kicked playin a few games of pool, ate a wonderful dinner that I didnt fix for a change an came back home to read my book and text my friend bout plans for next weekend or maybe this weekend we aint sure yet, an went to sleep.
Usually my weekends are spent on the remodeling on the basement so I guess thats what made this past weekend so wonderful, I was out an about instead of cooped up in the basement workin my tush off lol
PS. For those that followed my other post, we talked bout us, an decided to take it slow but move forward with our relationship, so where as we are not 'dating' per se, we are movin in that direction, slowly, an as I said earlier in this post, I Hate waiting lol
It was quite an emotional weekend for me. A woman I've been out with a few times called me in the middle of last week and told me that she was feeling very stressed from her new job and wanted to get out of town for a day. After offering her a couple different trip possibilities she asked what I preferred...so we went on a trip that was a several hour drive away and that would be an overnight trip. She said she preferred the overnight to be Friday, rather than Saturday night, we left at 6 pm later that evening.
It hadn't occurred to either of us that there is a Border Patrol checkpoint on our route. She didn't have her passport & VISA with her (she's from another country) so she was detained there for close to 1 1/2 hours when we went through there. Fortunately this was resolved. Understandably she was quite upset when she was released. I had expected her to simply want to turn around and go home but she wanted to continue with out trip.
We drove to our destination city, had dinner along the ocean and then checked into a hotel. We got a late start the next day and decided to spend an additional night there rather than to have to hurry around and drive back quite late. So, in the middle of the next afternoon we went to a local state park for several hours (which was what we ostensibly went to see). Considered seeing a movie...but decided that would put us back to the hotel too late and we needed to catch up on some sleep anyway, so we opted only for dinner.
It was quite an intimate weekend, including quite a bit of talk about past relationships, what we want for the future and even some issues that might be big obstacles for our continuing to see each other.
In addition to this I was confronting the dual aspects of this woman that, on one hand I very much enjoy being with her and find her very stimulating to talk with. At the same time I think she can also at times be inconsiderate and really ticks me off. One of these times when I felt she was inconsiderate was right before I dropped her off at home, so the weekend didn't end well.
Since then I've been thinking that I'll need to tell her that while there are some aspects of being with her that I think are great that it doesn't seem that it will work out between us. I'm pretty sad and conflicted about this and, to be honest, a woman hasn't affected me emotionally as much as she has in quite a while.
