You buy a cow to slaughter it, breed it, or maybe make shoes or something.

Or even the sheer pleasure of stamping your brand on its backside.

What is the rationale for monogamy anyway? A quaint idea not so thoroughly practiced as many presume, and of an era when people died young and blamed contagious disease on the gods.

Oh....and I also like to get the lean cuts of beef & pork. Have to watch those calories and it's healthier.

Good point. Usually Cow (et.al.) comes with the expiration date, telling you when not to consume it and instead go get ... oops, buy ... a new one.
