So yesterday I was meeting my mother for dinner and had time to spare so I stopped and got her a single rose, a nice gesture I thought to myself. Well I had to walk for a while with this thing and it seemed to catch the eye of a few ladies and one even said "aww how cute" as I passed. Another lady at a cafe went ahead and smelled it and asked if it was for my girlfriend etc.

So I have a question, if a guy walked up to you and handed you a single rose what would you think?

You are truly a gentleman! The world needs more of your kind !
Maybe, just maybe......you have opened up some neanderthol thinking out there! I give you 5 stars for this! or five smiley faces, as the stars did not work!

LOL -- good one, D_L!

I think it's nice you brought your mom a rose. I hope it wasn't red though. (just kidding).

If a guy I didn't know handed me a rose, I'd be wondering if he mixed me up with someone else or it was a joke. If someone I was meeting on a first date or someone I knew gave me a rose, I'd be extremely flattered and probably quite grateful, depending on the situation.

You did strike me as the type of person that would enjoy a random rose :P

I have to admit I'm not a fan of the single rose. They typically don't hold up well and if you are going out afterwards, it just another thing to keep track of.
