Who had a date this holiday weekend? How'd it go?

If you didn't have a date, what'd you do? Did you have fun?

I went to see "Inglorious Bastards" with my best friend -- it was really good! I

And, we know that you had three days of weekend! This being half again as big as the usual weekend, we expect you had more than the usual amount of dates!

Except Mr. Right, who has too many to count; and JHerndon, who needs no more.

The rest of you, had better have a good explanation for how you spent the weakend!

Last week I cooked dinner at my apartment for two different women. Played golf on Friday and was going to cook dinner for a date that night too (as well as go out dancing etc.) but got stood up. That night I just stayed home and kept some of you company on this site. Saturday morning I had a first meeting for coffee with a woman from an internet site. Late that afternoon and early evening I met a friend at the Island and also the woman I had met that morning, along with a rowdy group of her friends. I had a good time with them but cut out relatively early. On Sunday I went to a get together with some faculty members, one of whom is a woman I've gone out on a couple of dates with. I'll probably see her again in a couple days as well. I usually need to rest up after my weekends are over : /

That includes you D_Lion....what'd you do this weekend?

Stared, bleary-eyed, at my computer, which said "eHahaha Advices is having scheduled system manintenance," while poking my "refresh" key ... one grows old, waiting ...

That reminds me: my lovely post was captured, along with SimpleMind's, by the moderator! May I therefore say my post was on a date?

I ended up meeting up with a guy I have gone out a few times on Friday night after I ran a relay( I was having phone issues). Pretty sure he is not "the one" but he is fun .

I went to a party on Sunday where a few people were out of sorts and it was a bit strained. Weird party, as usually everyone is fun and cool.

I also worked too much this weekend.

I had a awesome date weekend with my girl.

Friday we took the bus up to NYC, was dropped off at Penn Station, took a cab to the hotel, then walked to Times Square, had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, checked out a few jewelers, went to 30 Rockerfella Plaza, took a tour of NBC Studios (and got to see the set of the Today show, SNL, and where Brian Jennings sits... it was really cool!), then we walked down 5th Avenue and checked out the shops, went into Tiffanys (there was a funny moment when we got on the elevator and went to the second floor, the guy was like "Second floor... engagement rings, wedding rings, diamond rings, eternity bands... and good luck, sir."... it was hysterical), then we walked back to the hotel, changed for dinner, had dinner at a Thai place, then saw the Broadway show Wicked (my first Broadway show... it was awesome!), then called it a night.

Saturday we met up with a couple for brunch at a hole in the wall that had outstanding food (best french toast I ever had), then walked to Central Park, did a good bit of walking there, checked out the castle, then walked to the Museum of Natural History, and checked out Hayden's Planetarium (it was awesome), then we walked way back to their studio, then we took a cab to Aqua Dulce, which is one of the swankiest places in NY to eat, met up with another couple there and had a outstanding time for dinner and drinks, then after that we called it a night.

Sunday we got up, had brunch, and took a double decker bus tour around NYC (very awesome), drove around and saw the sights, then took the ferry to Ellis Island (the lines on the Statue were jam packed... but we got a lot of pictures there, good ones), checked out Ellis Island (that was also awesome), then back to the mainland, finished the bus tour, went to Macys, shopped for a bit (I got two shirts), then we walked over to a brewery near the Empire State Building and had a very nice dinner, then we went to see the Empire State Building at night, only a 45 min wait which wasn't so bad, and the top is very romantic and cold, then after that we called it a night.

Monday we slept in, checked out, had brunch, then took the bus back.

Talk about a exciting, fun-filled weekend! It was great!

And I get the ring on Thursday.
