When we got interested in each other? We actually dated last year, but he wasn't looking for more then a piece...at which he expressed he didn't want to use me like that. This was before he had his daughter. Custody of her happened this year, maybe around April/May...not positive.
Hi Islandrain,

I would be a little more concerned about this. Do you know for sure that he is looking for something more now???

And I think you are doing everything correctly regarding him and his daughter.

If he has just got custody after 9 years of visitation then he's probably making up for lost quality time, and then with moving on top of that and all the normal life issues, the guy is bound to be a bit busy and there's not a helluva lot he can do about that no matter how much he may want to, couple that with the pair of you maybe working different shifts and it's not hard for the bits of free time he does have to just not coincide with your own free time.
It will settle down, going on previous posts he is trying to include you, it just has to get there.

My general statement when presented with the "is he too busy?" question is ..."if he is interested, he will make time".

However, in this case, he's got new full-time custody of his 9-yr old ...he's moving ...and, by your own admission, he has been asking you to do things but it has been your schedule that's the issue, not his.

You should give him a little time, let him get moved and settled in with his new order of things (maybe, you could ask him if he needs help moving?) ...see what happens between the two of you in a few months.
