Of course it is. I think they should change the dictionary definition, don't you?

So you are saying it's not couragous of Finland to have beaten the larger Russia? Or you are saying you dislike Finland? What exactly are you saying? Why the sarcasm when lot of men died in that war?

I just looked at your profile-you are 36, a young un. No wonder per your attitude. I got ten years on you.

Out on a date? Well I haven't done much of that lately. Let's see, my favorite song? I don't have any favorite song.

Besides I'm more mushy and romantic than the average guy.
You ladies and gents would laugh at me if I told ya.

Thinking, let's see what's a good substitute? Music and songs-I change very often what i listen to. What I'm listening to this month I might not be listening to next month.

When I'm on a date the only "music" running thru my head is the beautiful woman walking next to me. And the wonderful feeling I have being with her. So it's my own song, the song of a man being happy and humble to be with a woman. A song that coincides with the season.

The Ballad of The Green Beret
SSgt. Barry Sadler

Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Berets

Silver wings upon their chests
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret

Trained to live off nature's land
Trained to combat hand-to-hand
Men who fight by night and day
Courage taken from the Green Beret

Silver wings upon their chests
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret

Back at home a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her this last request

Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret

hmmmm....how about Louie Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World." Date or no date (latter most recently ), I catch myself humming this one quite often.

I see trees of green........ red roses too
I see em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do
Theyre really sayin......i love you.

I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
Theyll learn much more.....than Ill never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself .......what a wonderful world.

One of my favorite concerts was when Rod Stewart did his "Great American Songbook" tour. I enjoyed the mixture of his pop/rock standards with the classic standards of the 40's and 50's. One of the highlights of the show was when he paid tribute to Louis Armstrong by video when he performed "What a Wonderful World."

Now it seems everybody wants to bring poor Louie back from the dead in order to perform Wonderful World with him. Kenny G also cut one of his saccharin jazz versions with Louie on vocals. Let the poor guy rest in peace! After all, remember in the Hebrew Bible where King Saul brought the spirit of Samuel back from the dead. No good can ever come of it!

I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor...
Is that the song where the farmer gets all of his vehicles stuck trying to pull out his Ford, including his tractor? And then; winds up with Agriculture Canada after him?

I live so close to the border that I pick up the country station out of Canada.

However, as far as country songs go, it is hard to top; "I'd Rather Have a Bottle in Front of Me, Than a Frontal Labotomy."

Haven't you learnt to expect the unexpected around here yet?
And it's certainly wonderful to be pleasantly surprised from time to time, no doubt about that at all!

It’s just a beautiful song!

[COLOR=black]And it was written when Finland was under Russian tutelage in 1899. It was rewritten in 1942.

Ballad of Factory Butte/Cainville Kelly
by Runaway Express
...
Cainville Kelly was so high strung, he was always out on the line.
Had a super-charged Buick, a hot rod heart, and a smile that worked just fine.
Well he liked to dream, liked his wheels to scream. Thats the way he liked his women...

C'mon, who can resist lyrics like that layed over a bitchin' hot sax?
