Just was wondering if there were any movies currently or upcoming in the next week that would be good to see on the first few dates?

Thanks!

I was looking at the "time traveler's wife" but hadn't heard any reviews.

I heard that was a good chick flick movie, so if I was going to go on a first or second date, I would do that.

(500) Days of Summer has gotten very good reviews, but it may be one of those things that only plays in limited markets right now.

Cold Souls, with Paul Giamati, sounds pretty odd and interesting so could lead to a lot of fun discussion.

Julia & Julia sounds fun. It's doing very well at the box office, so presumably it's not just middle-aged women who are going to see it.

I'm anxious to see The Hurt Locker, but that's probably doesn't fall into the date movie category...lol.

District 9, comes out Friday. If a woman goes to see that with you she's a keeper in my book!

Oh, that actually does look good (a trailer just popped up on the tube here). It's getting great critical reviews, too.

Wait, scratch the Time one, apparently it has a very sad ending. Just got off the phone with my girlfriend who said she read the book. She is going to go see Julia and Julia instead with her girl friends.

It's also getting poor reviews, so probably only worth seeing if you read that book and are really curious about how they translated it to the screen.

Go see Julie and Julia which is a great movie, then after the date go to one of your places and try to make Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon recipe. It's featured prominently in the movie and seems like it would be a really fun date.
