It's definitely subjective. For the most part I don't care. The only two that would bother me some (only some) are the gorilla man and the completely shaved guy.

I like a hairy chest. I like to put my hands in it.

Can't stand the shaved chest. And if they oil it...

I also love lots of hair on the head. Again with the hands.

I've never had a bald man, but I guess I could consider it. Completely bald, no tonsure. But don't shine Mt. Baldy!

It's not a big deal to me if a guy is hairy or not hairy, I just prefer them to be "natural". If a guy trimmed his chest/back/body hair that wouldn't bother me at all, though. When guys are obsessive about grooming it's a turn-off for me.

I don't care. Bald, long hair, short hair, some hair, almost no hair, chest hair, smooth chest, smooth legs, hairy legs, hairy backs, smooth backs, hairy arms... you get the point. If I'm into the guy, none of that matters. I do like running my hands through chest hair, but it's hardly a necessity. I can find plenty of other places to run my hands...

Like heterosexual tendencies?

I braid my chest hair and donate back hair for wigs.

I have a hairy chest all over but it really isn't too long. A little back hair too but not King Kong-ish. Legs, arms, and a goatee too. I'll never shave my chest as I would find it not masculine, my opinion. Hey, I have French Candian heritage. Blame my folks.

Hi: I suggest that you trim but do not shave. And, trim only if it drives you crazy. The growing out is uncomfortable for you and the stubble is not something most women like. Sharon

Personally, I don't like the way my chest and stomach hair gets very long and thick and it's a pain to try to keep it all trimmed. I've thought about just shaving it all, but then I think that would look weird too...and take quite a while to grow out.

Most women like what is familar to them. My father was bald, my brothers turned bald, my late husband was bald, by sons are balding. One keeps his head shaved. It looks great. As far as chest hair, again it is what you are familar with. I'm ok with or without as long as it is all natural. No shaves please, except that gorgeous face of yours.

Ditto.

There seems to be a trend (among younger men) to shave their chests (even if they are not athletes), which I do not care for at all.

As I have gotten older, the men are getting more hairy! LOL! Just comes with age. So I have relaxed my standards somewhat.
Except for on their heads usually
