Ok, this goes for gals as well as guys. But the one thing I can't get past in meeting someone is if they have False Teeth! That's a no-no, instant rejection, forget about how nice he is! YUCK! Just the thought of it revolts me! Ok, so I have a phobia so to speak, but honestly, the thought of ever kissing someone with False Teeth makes me want to throw up! Yup, I think I have described how yucky I feel about this, what about you? True or False?

Do you wait until you're on the date to point out this concern, or do you ask beforehand?

Well until I meet someone, it is difficult to tell if he has false teeth until I see him in person, then I can spot them instantly! However, I am not sure if that is one of the questions I should ask, but perhaps now, it will be one of my must haves, a man with his own teeth, in good shape, both him and his teeth!

How do you know if he has false teeth unless he tells you or they're obviously loose or something?

I'm missing a few myself; I'm glad my SO wasn't persnickety about it. With the cost of root canals so high, it wasn't something I had much of a choice about.

And really, at our age, we're just grateful to find partners who still have all their marbles.

Most of the time it is easily recognized! The teeth are too straight, their upper lip has no muscle left in it, so it kind of makes for no upper lip, makes sense? yes to me it does?? And in some bargain jobs they had done, you can see the plastic or whatever they call it, gums!
That's when I know this is not going anywhere!
Honestly, if in this day and age, people cannot look after their teeth, what else do they neglect in their hygiene! Yes, yes, it is a terrible phobia of mine! I have every tooth in my mouth and I take great care of my teeth and I expect any potential partner to do the same!
Yes, I guess it is one of my must haves!

Well, $3.00 for a toothbrush and let's say $2.00 for toothpaste, and brush atleast 2 or 3 times a day! Change your toothbrush every 6 months and buy a tube of toothpaste every 3 weeks or so, if this is going to run you into the poor house, then how do you afford paying for an internet dating service? oops! I forgot, you are not a paying member! ( just a joke) but get my drift! Dentures are not cheap either, and they have to be replaced every so many years!
All I am saying is that I cannot be with a man who does not have his own teeth, in good shape! That is what I require and that's it, that's all!

I was bashed in the face by my (now ex) husband, while I was laying in bed. I was young- in my late 20's- and I had a fabulous smile. I went through two years of surgeries to remove bone fragments and tooth fragmants, to lance and drain painful abcesses, in a desparate effort by my wonderful dentist (God rest his soul) who had known me since a child and was doing everything he could to spare me the heartache of losing my teeth, but to no avail. I now wear a partial.

I've been in two relationships in the 14 years since I divorced my abuser. In both these relationships, I wore my partial to bed, even though it was a risk to my personal safety. I honestly would have rather choked to death than face the attitude expressed by the OP.
