Who had a date this weekend, and how was it?

I did not but I hung out with a friend of mine who was in from out of town.

We went out to a couple of yummy (unhealthy!) breakfasts, walked around Venice Beach, sat in the sand on the beach in Malibu and chatted for a couple of hours, went to sushi, and the next day at some more bad food, including Original Tommy's chili cheese burgers.

It was a diet-wrecking but fun weekend

What did you do this weekend?

I had a WONDERFUL first date with an online person, in Truckee, CA. yesterday!!

The story comes with an interesting twist too. About age and lying and looking beyond it.

Click here if you have missed it.

If you count the man-date I had with my best friend Saturday night, I used his discount at Wal-Mart to buy a new dLSR and so we had dinner and a couple of beers at a local Mexican restaurant, since he gave me his discount I bought him dinner.

No dates lately, *sigh*. I think somebody up there wants me to stay single right now, lol!! I did , however, go to my friends camp trailer last night and we had a good time gabbing together for hours. Tonight I go to some long time friends for a bbq. Next weekend I go to Ashcroft for my nephew's wedding and then I have a week on the Island (Vancouver) for a few days with my girlfriend. okay, not much for dates but i'm staying busy.

Well the waitress was lovely, so that was a plus.

No dates for me this weekend.

I wasn't feeling very well this weekend, so I stayed close to home and bonded with my couch and pillow, then my bed and pillow, then my couch and pillow...you get the idea. I know, I know, I'm a wild woman.

Had a date Friday night and then went with the Melrose Place gang to see a local band play, the members of which are local music teachers from schools all around the area. An enjoyable weekend....but no potential for romance.

Saturday my girl and I watched the second Lord of the Rings movie, and she cooked a BBQ chicken pizza.

Did I forget to mention that I have the BEST GIRLFRIEND EVER!
