You’ve all probably heard my proposal story to the ex-fiance- *still* one of my favorite memories, despite the fact that she is in it. *grin* Here’s an earlier one.

My first girlfriend and I met in college. Before that, I was rather like gtp- small town, not going to happen. I started talking to her in one of those big cafeterias around campus (forget which one, but it was cheap… *grin*). Saw her, thought *wow!* but took my tray and sat down and ate. Wolfed it down really fast because I wanted to talk to her, but didn’t want to eat in front of her- I was too embarrassed. I got up and asked if the side opposite was taken, and proceeded to talk class with her, then lead into a shared joy of writing. Asked for her number three times before she gave it.

Later that week, before I asked her out on our first date, she asked *me* to attend a party with her and her friends. She had broken up with one of the guys who lived near me- we called him "Lurch" from the Adam’s family movie. Long story short, we went, she got a little tipsy and began chewing on my hair. Later on she was sitting behind me on the couch and I just sort of leaned back… and it was very nice lounging, talking, and laughing together. I still remember her curled up beside me, chewing on my hair and breathing on my ears to this day! *grin*

How do you always manage to bring Good Taste even in the most indelible of threads?

Thank You! All the way from the Moon.
