So, Likwit, why did you even go out with the girl if you weren't interested in a ltr (which you obviously knew is what she wanted if you stopped seeing her based solely on that)? Plus, why be on a dating site if that's not what you want? I'm not trying to attack you, I'm genuinely curious, because it just seems entirely counter-intuitive. Were you going out with the girl in the hopes that you would be able to sleep with her a few times before she figured out the game (is that what "encounters" means?)?

Also, if you're not a big fan of the total poof, then why do that to the girl with the e-mail? Is the distinction, in your mind, the fact that it wasn't conscious, because she just "sort of fell of your radar?"

Just my opinion, but I feel like you should really be up front about not wanting a ltr, so the girls know there is a greater chance of poofing.
I guess I wasn't clear in my post. I've actually never been on an online date... This was a girl that I'd known for a while. To make a long story short, we would hang out a lot, and a few times we ended up sleeping together. I sort of lost interest and she fell off my radar.

I did poof her, but I never once told her I wanted to date or anything, so I don't feel too bad about it.

Ok,gotcha. I was imagining an entirely different scenario. That also explains why you said you "had a few...encounters." Lol.
