i only tell ONE person that i have date that i met online and thats my best friend. last time i told my mom (who yes i still live w/ then again im younger than you guys) i had a date with i guy i met online she practically literally blew up at me over it! so every guy i date is actually ok with me not telling my parents i met him online let alone that i had a date with him, and my friend was my cover for the day.

I don't have much of a problem with the way that you handled this.

It is more impressive if you were able to live your life without worrying about how your parents felt though.

Your mother is wrong in how she reacted & you can stand up to that.

lying in this situation does not concern me in the trust department.

It does concern me in that it shows insecurity & it shows that perhaps little things may be a big deal to my date.

If this is an issue, then what else might she over-think & place drama where it really shouldn't be.
