I just finished cleaning up the kitchen after 'fixing' a batch of cherry/raspberry preserves that didn't set (open jars, dump in pot, add lemon juice and boil boil boil, then reseal, reboil sealed jars yada yada). I'm in Michigan visiting CCM for 3 weeks but he's on a canoe trip with his dad for the weekend. Tomorrow I'll spend the day with his mom.

Dinner was a peanut butter & jelly sandwich with the aforementioned jam (scraped from the pot with a spatula and put on the bread while still warm. Bedtime early, maybe I'll watch something on t.v. beforehand.

The cats all act like I'm alright to hang out with but they would far prefer their owner to be home.

Domestic chores tonight (laundry, bills, cleaning -- ) But I will take time tonight to catch up on my reading - that'll be a pleasure.

Early turn-in so I can work out with my running club tomorrow at 7 a.m.

I still do not know what a victory garden is? Is there some significance? I do not have a frame of reference - but what you described, sounds grand!

And btw - A bunch of posters are coming your way. You should hook up. I know I have always wanted to meet you - and I am sure they feel the same way!
