I just e-mailed a goodnight to someone new I'm talking with (this guy is 60 miles away, not 400 at least!) Now I'm going to watch some TV and take the dog out later. I know - too much excitement for one evening. You're all jealous.

Just got in from helping crew at a local balloon festival. Tonight is the night they have the balloon glow where they light up the balloons at night followed by a concert and fireworks. Then we all went out for beer afterwards. Lots of fun. Early tomorrow morning is the first competition flight!

Two hours on the first phone call with a new "match" that has the brains and humor to match her gorgous pic has yielded a date tomorrow night to watch the fireworks display over Cal Expo in Sacramento, California....should be a very nice first date for us.

And she loves George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, and the Jefferson Airplane. Went to their concerts. We both have gestated in the San Francisco Bay area, and did the same kinds of work. Generationally and musically, and in many other ways, it looks like a good match.

FINALLY!!

What a small world! Ballooning was a family business for a long time. In fact, a relative was one of the original pilots to participate in the very first Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. What an amazing event that is!

The balloon glow is my favorite! I also love just watching them all go up at once in the morning. And riding in one, is just awesome!

Oh, Albuquerque is on my list of places to go (especially during the festival). I hope I get my second flight tomorrow or Sunday. Even if I don't the event is a blast!

It's my first night off in a while. So, tonight I'm doing nothing and loving it!

Great way to start off my three day weekend I think... theres time to party later... tonight I will relax, light some candles, and have a private party with me, myself, and I.
