I need those shoes too, Jacquiem. They aren't mine.
They're on my list of shoes-that-i-need. I can't remember where I saw them. I'll take a look at the full-size photo and see if I can read the label.

I'm sure that is your experience, but c'mon, you're talking about parties. Really, how many people go to a party with grumbly, crabby, bad attittudes? Perhaps a few, but not many. Socializing with people at parties doesn't give you a view into how they behave in day-to-day life.
Well because i was going regularly i did get friendly with a whole bunch of them, and there were a few who were already my friends, and seeing them in their day to day lives wasn't much different to seeing them at the party, the same general attitude, just a bit more intense in party mode. Probably so many there had bubbly attitudes because their attitude made them more inclined to go to parties.

It all depends on the man. Some men will like a full-figured women, and some will not like a full-figured women. Also, it depends on your definition of a full-figured woman. My definition is someone who is really overweight. I was dating a girl who thought she was full-figured, and I even told her not even close. This is my point of view though. I have dated girls average size, skinny, and full figured. I was with the full figured woman for 6 and half years. Funny thing is the full figured woman and average (who might consider a little overweight) were freaky in the bedroom, but the skinny ones were so blah haha. I pick on who I find attractive, and size matters to an extent. Some women can be to big for my liking, and there are some who are too skinny for my liking. The deal break besides what I just mentioned is the face. If you got a ugly face (no matter the body size), I am not going to talk to you haha. My little brother came over and had me watch Daisy of Love a few months ago. I thought the girl had one ugly face, and I just wanted to slap her and make her beautiful hahaha.

She was simply used as an example to describe one person's idea "full-figured".

The request for someone to define the term, "full-figured", has been made, repeatedly, thoughout this thread. Nobody seems to want to define/describe what it means to them.

Someone finally replied, and he did so with a picture. A picture makes a pretty clear definition, in my book.

my personal experience is this.

when i was younger (and thinner) guys seemed to be after me more for a quick good time than for a relationship.

now i'm older and have gained some padding (partly from having kids) and a great deal of awesome curves (imo) i seem to be attracting a somewhat nicer guy. Someone who wants a relationship, not a fling (although they still do come around once in awhile).

And alot of men do seem to like the curvacious buxom gals. This was a nice surprise.

Is that the woman from Mad Men? I could see the term full figured being used to describe her....but I suspect there aren't many women who describe themselves this way who look like her. So....that may not be a good 'definition' as the term full figured is typically used.

Exactly. It is one person's definition. And that is also my idea, of what the term has meant in the past.. before it became a loose term that means who-knows-what?

the "term" thing is really iffy.

It still means the same thing to me as it always has. Just as, a size 12 is still a size 12. It is not true that vanity sizing exitsts with all clothing makers. It exists with SOME. In my experience, it is about half/half. There is inconsistency ANYWAY in clothing sizes depending on the maker....but there is even more because of vanity sizing.

It is a mistake when men say things about Marylin's size 12 being a myth because sizes are so different now. Not true. It is true in some cases, not all. And it's not a big difference either. I believe vanity sizing when it does exist is more modest (ie. a true 12 might be labeled a 10 or 8).

Pretty much, I've worn the same range of sizes all of my adult life....that would be going back quite a ways because I have been 5'6'' since 6th grade.

Anyway, the "term" thing makes it hard for all of us. When I first did match in the early 2000's I listed my body type as curvy and sometimes as athletic...as I was both.

Now I list it as average, as that seems the safest. It seems a land mine area ....not because I don't know what I am or what I look like, it's becuase I know how men are going to ineterpret it based on their poor and negative view of these terms, that they have come to expect they mean something that they do not.

If you are a woman shopper, typically, yes full figured means larger chest (as there is a section for full figured, and full coverage in bras). Full figured typically has no other meaning in fashion or shopping that I am aware of.

So, the woman pictured from that tv show would fit my estimation of full figured as well. To me, it does not mean obese. But I think men think almost ANY woman is possibly obese until they see otherwise...so its best (ala eharmony) to not choose ANY body type, and simply post photos!

ps. Mr. Right. The woman in the photo is not a natural red-head I know becuase I read an interview with her. She is a natural blond and has been dying it since she was a teenager
