Real men don't wear V-necks.

V-necks are for bosoms :-)

I like a tasteful crew neck but it needs to include some yummy pects. and bicepts with a nice v- shaped back. I think I'll go out to a club!

Hi DennisWisconsin,

What a great question!

While there is something about the topic that tickles the funnybone, some woman do have a definite preference -- me included (if a t-shirt is necessary, I prefer regular).

As more woman respond, it will be interesting to see which if either style comes out on top!

Thanks for creating such a fun and useful topic and for putting a smile on my face and apparently other's as well.

All the best,

-Renee

Neither - why do you have to have a t-shirt under your button-down?
I was wondering this too. I don't

Since I'm the only serious one here...REGULAR!

The V-neck is best saved for wearing under Over-Alls. That's the only way to get that nice little V-tan with the rest of you all sickly white...
Now you are grossing me out

So when you meet someone, what is more attractive? Seeing a regular t-shirt or v-neck t-shirt under a button-down shirt?
Here is my 2 cents for what it's worth. It all depends what these 2 shirts look like on the guy along with the style of the button shirt.

V-necks show more skin and they accent the guy's neck line better. While crew necks t-shirts protect the skin from the environment, they seem to make (on some guys) the guy's head look like he doesn't have a neck. Some of these button down shirts (depends on the style and how it's worn) may look better with regular crew or v neck shirts underneath or don't require any kind of t-shirt underneath.
