(I know I have stated in recent post that I am not into the whole online dating thing but...)I recently got matched with someone(not eharmony..a different dating site) who caught my eye. We are the same age (20), and share a lot of common interests. The problem is he has not logged on for about a month. I don't know if or when he will ever log back on. He did however post where he works. (Not to sound like a stalker)..but I was thinking about going there to see if I find him.
Should I go? And if so...what should I say to make conversation? I was not planning on mentioning anything about the dating site...I don't want to sound creepy.
Basically this can apply to any situation...where your someplace and you see a cute guy..
How do I make conversation while giving them the hint that I am interested in them?...I tend to look really unapproachable..
Plus he seems shy...so just a typical question like "where is so and so" probably won't lead to any further discussion.

To clarify "unapproachable"...I am not unapproachable because of looks...I am just really shy...and many people assume I am not interested...

He. Is. Just. Not. That. Into. You

Put it this way. If you are a reasonable person and you like someone, you wont arbitrarily avoid your means of contacting them.

Im going to go out on a limb and say his S.O caught him talking to you and now he's in the dog house?

I think I see several questions here, so pardon the terse format:

1) Please, please, don't follow him to his workplace. I can't even tell you how many ways that would be a serious problem.

2) If he is taking a break and hasn't logged on, the reason isn't as important as the FACT that he hasn't logged on. Let him have his break, his exploration, his overload at work, his private moment, his catastrophe with a possible SO.

3) If he is shy, then feel free to send him a wink, a tingle, or whatever the site lets you do. This is usually transmitted to him by email, and he can choose what to do about it, knowing you have interest.

4) If you have trouble letting someone know you are interested, you will potentially be alone a very long time. Try "You know, I've enjoyed talking to you a lot! This has really made my day." It doesn't commit your private feelings to anything, but does let someone know that they made a difference to you, even for a moment. That's all any of us wants sometimes, isn't it?

4) Please, please don't follow him to his workplace.

5) Please, please don't follow him to his workplace.

His workplace is a bookstore...I am just a paying customer..How will he know where I know him from? Can't a customer make conversation with an employee whom they find attractive?
Also...I am not a paying member so I cannot shoot him an email or contact him.

Personally I would be quite flattered if a woman came to where I worked (if I still worked in retail) and flirted with me because she saw me on a dating site and thought I had a lot in common. He hasn't told you anything that could lead you to believe that you would be doing anything wrong by going and starting conversation with him. It would make or a great story later on if it worked out. I say go for it and good luck.
