Two dates, one Friday and one Sunday.

Friday was a 2nd date, good guy, just no chemistry there. Sunday was mediocre. He said meet at 1 PM (on thursday), Sunday at 9 Am he asks me if time is still good and I said yes. Then he said he was running late can we do it 2 PM. I said let's just do 5 PM (I already was meeting friends to watch the soccer game at 2:30 PM!), he said no. I said OK, we'll meet at 2 PM. He gives me an intersection, which means really nothing in NYC! and then at ~1:40 PM or so he says he is having issues crossing 5th (parade) and he will be a bit late. All of these communications were text messages from an over 40 year old guy!. I was driving, I canot answer the texts!! it is illegal and a safety concern. He showed up with a hard briefcase and he had a game show host voice. I really thought he was going to open that suitcase and start selling me watches!! We became argumentative at the end, see my 'Defense Mechanism Post"

Then again I was in small town PA on sat nigh Sunday morning, and the people there were so nice. I got 4 compliments that really made the above date barely put a dent in a great weekend.

Wow...I'm at 4 dates and still like him...and what's more he seems to really like me, despite my many flaws!

We had dinner at a bistro in The Village, walk in Central Park, watched the sunset, had coffee at Starbucks in his neck of the woods, kiss on the cheek and a very warm bear hug...went our separate ways....then talked on the phone for 2 hours after the date.

Very casual, easy-going guy. Just trying to figure out how long it will be before my OCD drives him crazy!

I had yet another fantastic outstanding wonderful date. Saturday I met up with my girlfriend at the zoo for my younger brother's picnic, it was the second "meet the family" event. We had brunch, talked, saw the zoo, then that evening we had pizza and watched Narnia 2, then the next day we went out and got coffee, then had breakfast (she's gotten me hooked on Golean cereal), then went over and saw Barnes and Noble, then walked the mall for a few hours, had lunch at the food court, then back to my place for the first Lord of the Rings movie.

Which she said it was better than she thought it would be! She liked the hobbits.

It was a rough weekend for her, working a 30 hour shift at the hospital before driving up to meet me at the zoo, but next weekend is a really big weekend... I get to meet HER parents.

Haven't had a real date in 2 years, but I did have a few more guys go poof this weekend.
