Maybe what some people may possibly mean by wanting a "real" one is that you have to have your references listed, financial questionare and fico score attatched and none of the references can be a relative of the applicant.

Just my hunble opinion

Add me to the sissy club of chick flick watchers, as well.

I suppose the women that want "real men" want someone who is completely unwilling to compromise, listen to your point of view, or listen to you *at all*, someone that will stick to a decision that was made, regardless of whether or not it's the right one, even after being presented with valid evidence of why the decision is wrong, be emotionally unavailable, kick your cat, demand that you fulfill all the stereotypical 50s housewife duties, and who will call you a frigid b*tch when you refuse to sleep with him because he's been out all night drinking, smells like puke and piss, and just wants to hop on for two minutes before rolling over and going to sleep.

That's what I think of when I hear "real man".

I am the complete opposite of all of that and have more integrity in my little toe than a guy like that could ever dream of. I will stand up for what's right, I will hold to my decisions, but only if they're the right ones, well considered, and I will kick the a** of someone that threatens my family.

I'll also cry at sad movies, understand how to support a woman emotionally, and be able to express my own emotions.

A fantasy firefighter might be fun for a few months, but not far down the line you will wish you had a guy like me - a true, open, considerate life partner, supporting you, loving you, nurturing you, and handling my own business. Like a man.
