Half of the time it doesn't even look good. How many guys out there who have it feel that is has to be part of your identity?

My problem with it is that my facial skin is very sensitive, but I really enjoy kissing. From experience, I know that after a great make-out session, my face and neck look like they are "on fire." Lately, most of the matches I get have facial hair and honestly, so many of them would look better without it.

How can I be politically correct about this?

Tell the guy from the beginning that you have sensitive skin and will break out. If he likes you enough, he'll shave it off.

Personally I love a man with a goatee, I find it a huge turn-on.

Tell them what you have just said. He can take it or leave it, if he is otherwise a great guy you will get used to it. I had a friend who refused to shave off a scruffy handle-bar mustache and weird side burns, that almost every woman complained about. He's still not getting to the second date very often.
What's the big deal? He can grow it all back if you break up

I explained my reasons for not being into it in my profile, without mentioning that so many of them would look better without it.

I've tried getting used to it. It's not happening.... And I hear you about the mustache and sideburn thing, except my friend has a bushy afro. Women generally don't like it, but he won't part with it. Oh well, I guess it keeps them warm enough at night, so they can have fun dating their hair!

Hi Constantseeker,

It sounds like you’re very certain about what you do and do not like. I think it’s smart to put it on your About Me page, right up front. In general, it can help both you and the match if you state your preferences from the angle of what you do like vs. what you don’t.

For example, stating that you like clean-shaven men and what it is you like about them so much won’t offend matches with facial hair as much as inform them about a deal-breaker right away. Both of you are better off that way, and can move on to better matches without wasting time communicating. Stating something you do like also will encourage the matches who fit your description that they have a point in their favor with you.

All the best,

~Kate

if you don't like men who have facial hair, then close them and seek dates elsewhere.

obviously facial hair IS a part of who THEY are.

Maybe your allergic to the animals your making out with. Try a human. Just kidding. It is understandable and your right to not have to like facial hair. Either put up with it, or, Don't. I don't like short haired women. I don't date them.

I have had facial hair for 45 years. It.s me. Like it or not. Get over your self. You expect the whole world to change cause you don't like
