I’ve never encountered it, though I don’t think I would mind if I did.

LOL, are you dating Joey from Friends? I wouldn't take it incredibly seriously. Maybe he is thinking that the girl he knows is a big-time food pirate, ordering something disgustingly healthy and then eating half of whatever is on the plate across the table. I doubt he would begrudge you a taste now and then if it was something great that he thought you just had to try. Orrr maybe the boy just really likes his food, like Joey. People have their quirks? But, no, I've never personally experienced that in dating. For now, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, and just assume he's screwing around. You can always test it out later.

the food sharing thing is pretty bizarre. I would be interested in seeing how he eats & also if any other quirks become evident. The food thing in & of itself would likely not be that big of a deal.

Actually, I changed my mind. . I am very attracted when a woman is very open & comfortable in every way. The inability to share food does reflect a closed off image & I am not such a fan of that.

It is not necessarily a big thing unless they also don't like contact or if they are closed off in many ways.

That is very odd that this had come up but at least you know not to ask.

As far as contacting mall guy.... no... at least not until he contacts you with something substantial.

LOL! My ex was that. Right at the start when we were dating, he would say if we were going to McDonald's, he would rather buy me my own fries even if I only ate a couple than share a single one of his.

He also would change his order in a restaurant if I ordered the same thing.

It's really just a quirk and was never an issue. Generally, the rest of our values were pretty similar, so I don't understand where that oddity comes from.

BTW, he did eventually sometimes share...seemed to work with an order of fries and an order of onion rings! LOL!

Everybody has their personal "pet peeve" or two. This is not a thing to worry about IMHO.

I've never really run across the 'food sharing' issue. Though, one time I was with a group of about 12 people and half of the group 'decided' for everyone that we were going to order a number of dishes and everyone would share everything. I was a bit annoyed at having someone decide this for me....but it wasn't too big of a deal.

For me, statements like this guy made regarding not liking to share food are things I don't really feel I can accurately understand until I meet and interact with someone in person. This statement could possible indicate anything from his being extremely anal retentive....to just making a lighthearted comment. I'd tend to think a statement like this might be indicative of too rigid of a personality for my taste....but it's hard to say without knowing him in person.

If I were you, I'd forget about all those men for a while, and send me some brownies instead. In case my name didn't give it away, I can't resist the sweet stuff

On a more serious note, I wouldn't worry too much about food sharing or lack thereof. We all have our little oddities, and they can be endearing. Stop overanalyzing and start enjoying it

If you don't like to share your food, order something that I don't like to eat. If you do like to share your food, order something we'll both enjoy and we can feed each other... that's supposed to be really flirty, sexy!!
