I think the dating can be fun if you have met the right person but finding that right person is the key. I personally do not like dating because many people are not upfront and honest about what they are truly looking for.

I think dating is fun if you're doing it for the right reasons, and looking for a partner with similar interests. For me, it helps not to pursue a woman until I'm sure there may be some compatibility. That makes the initial approach very easy. "Cold-calling" is not my thing; that makes me uneasy about dating a woman because there are just too many uncertainties. That's why I prefer eHarmony's method of meeting people over other dating sites. Of course, you don't truly know if there's chemistry until you meet in person.

It depends how you approach dating. If you approach each match and date with the intent that it is "the one" then dating is likely to not be fun and become a chore.

However if you approach each match and date as a new experience to enjoy someones company and the date as an opportunity to engage in a fun activity for the sake of the date and nothing more then you will have fun on the date
