"Eyes are the windows to the soul" goes the saying. Many people, women in particular, believe that you can tell a lot about a person by their eyes.

For the women, how important are a man's eyes in determining attraction? For the men, how much stock do you place in a woman's eyes in your dating decisions?

I don't know about 'determining attraction'...but what I can read in their eyes while we are out on a date can determine whether or not the date goes beyond the first one.

I believe in the 'window to the soul'...you can read intent and honesty in a mans eyes and face.

Attractive eyes are an extra benefit. More so I watch his eyes as he is talking to see if what is coming out of his mouth is honest or sincere. And I beleive that a person of good moral stature has "honest" eyes. I don't like Drew Peterson's eyes.............

If she has two and not three, we're good to go.

I do look at a woman's eyes, looking for a twinkle that signifies a good sense of humor or adventure. I do notice when the woman has gotten carried away with too much mascara and eyeliner.

I have to be careful around a pair of amazing eyes. I can lost in them way too easily.

The first thing I notice - and fall for - in a guy is his eyes. I'm definitely an "eye person" and go weak at the knees.

What if she's only got one?

It's not so much determining attraction but getting a read on body language. If someone doesn't look you in the eyes very often while speaking, it's just not a good sign they are into the conversation.

I pay great attention when a guy is talking and not looking at who he is talking to. Of course there are always positive exceptions to the rule like those that are multi-tasking at times but still paying attention. However, the negative ones are like those that are bored/don't careor areliars that can look straight at a person without even blinking.

Still...staring someone down is not a good idea as it's just unnerving.

As for attraction on eyes though...two eyes ...any color that can see where he wants to go.

I hate to see eyes hidden behind sunglasses as you miss out on the direct eye contact if you can see their eyes at all.

There is just something about a man with hazel or brown eyes.
