Alright, for those of us who don't have an SO for real-life kissing at the moment, let's visit the past. Is there one kiss you've shared that stands out as the sweetest, the sexiest, the most meaningful ever?

Mine was five or six years ago now. I was madly, madly in love with this man, but we didn't get to see each other very often. One day, on the way to an important ceremony, we grabbed each other and kissed just before we went in. It was the kiss of perfect love. It felt so good I wished I could take him to bed right then. But he broke it off and hustled me inside. (Men are so practical. ) To this day, I count that as the best kiss ever, and wish we had finished it...

Well...considering it's one of those rainy, lazy Saturday's...so perfect time to think back on wonderful memories!!!!

A little long..but the 'stage' has to be set here...HAHAHA....

This was a man whom I ended up dating for 3 years....And we actually met while I was on vacation in Cancun on a SCUBA diving trip...and we talked for hours and hours....we had this amazing 'chemistry" both physically andemotionally(I know how people just love that word here!!! But I do..LOL)....but we were both dating other people (not serious relationships..but enough to where we wouldn't think of doing anything more than talking...and just enjoyed meeting and said our good-bye's...I'd never had anyone just knock me off my feet that way...almost in a way I couldn't explain...

So...because I could even think this way about someone else, as well as not really thinking my other relationship was going anywhere...when I got home...I knew that I needed to end my relationship (only 3 months in)....but not 'for this other man' since I thought I'd never see him again..

Then...another 3 months went by...and I received a phone call...this man had done some searching and looked me up...he lived in Dallas...I live VA...and said that he had also ended his relationship for other reasons...and that could we possibly meet again...so...a month later....

I actually took a trip with my girlfriend to Dallas ...and we had been talking on the phone many times a week by then...writing back/forth (real letters, before that fancy internet..HAHAHAHA)....

So..after a night of dinner and dancing....my girlfriend rode home with his friend..(not in THAT way...just dropping off at the hotel..LOL)...and I was driving around with my guy, singing to music in the car...talking about everything and anything...we had flirted like crazy and sparks were flying all during the night...it was pouring rain outside....and we both just looked at eachother in this one moment...

He suddenly pulls the car over on the side of the freeway..we both jump out....lightening is crashing...we are soaking wet....there was this tall chain link fence separating the street behind the road...he walks over...gently but firmly in the most fantastic way...puts me up to the fence and then he grabs my face in his hands(ladies..you know what I'm talking about) and he kisses me...and I kiss him back....for what seemed liked blissful eternity...but probably about 10 minutes...

Until a police car comes up because the car is practically in the middle of the highway....and it's 3am..and he gets out and asks.."Are you ok ma'am?"....And I can barely mutter the words..."Ohh...absolutely!"..."but thank you for asking"....Police officer chuckles...and says.."oh..ok....well..how about if we hop back in the car so there isn't an accident"....

Ahhhh.....what a delicious memory I haven't thought of in a long time....Thanks Victoria!!!! Just shows how wonderful those moments are and hoping that I will find that now that I am dating again

Thanks guys!!! It's really funny because I am not usually a person who writes very well...(much better in person..LOL)...but this is a memory that stands out...just like yours Victoria...so every second of that is etched in my mind, like it was yesterday...and it was almost 14 years ago!

Great post Victoria!...can't wait to hear other stories from people...we need those great/happy threads on here to balance out the harder parts of dating...

OK.... I thiink these to tend to be involved stories...

when I was 23 I was involved with a man I would call my first real LOVE....

Although we never consummated that love physically...

we had discussed marriage and a future together...

He suddenly decided to rejoin the service ....

I saw him through basic and was the perfect girl at home...

he came back on leave and seemed set on us breaking up...

he was being very hard and cold... so he told me he was leaving for good...

He broke my heart and moved away ... by then we were 24...

and then while in stationed in Germany...married another girl...

about 3 years later he suffered a stroke... he recovered and went on with his life...

one night he was reading in bed with his wife... she kissed him goodnight and went to sleep.

The very next morning... when he woke up... he could not wake her...

She had died during the night in her sleep.... at 28... congenital brain defect...

and she was a few weeks pregnant at the time....

( I know all this because I was still close to his mom )

So, shortly thereafter, he came home to the states for his younger sister's High School Graduation...

I had not seen him nor his family for years...

when he called me and invited me to the graduation...

our conversation albeit bittersweet, was really touching...

It was very nostalgic for us...

So I drove to his mother's house...

When he answered the door...

it was so .... hmmmm... that moment our eyes met...

we embraced, gathered the family... and we went to the graduation...

He was such a gentleman the whole time, having me take his arm when we walked...

watching over me, holding my hand....

I felt like part of the family again...

We went out to dinner after the ceremony...

talking like it was just yesterday...

he expressed regret for ever hurting me...

( and yes I am finally getting to the GOOD PART )

after dinner we went to the bar for a drink...

we were sitting at a big tall block table across form each other...

it was dimly lit with loud music playing...

we were still talking about everything...

at one point... he looked deeply into my eyes...

sloooooowly reached across the table and grabbed my shoulders...

he sloooowly pulled me across the table...

all the while looking into my eyes...

the music became garbled.... and the room sloooowly faded to black...

he lightly touched his lips to mine... paused pulled back and looked at me again...

and kissed me like I'd NEVER been kissed...

when we stopped neither of us could breath....

and it was a soul to soul moment....

and one of the best kisses EVER....

My best kiss would be the ones with my English ex-boyfriend. His kisses were so great that I will end up smiling while he was still in the midst of kissing my lips. I miss those
