I've always been curious if your date's cologne is a significant factor in what you think of him. I do wear designer cologne and I have found that it is enjoyable towards my date. Still curious if this gives a man an "edge" or not...

Ladies... your thoughts?

P.S Yes, I agree...don't bath in the cologne either.. LOL I spray it up in the air and walk through it... I find that is the best way.

I LOVE men's cologne - as long as it's not too strong -it should be just enough to make me want to get a little closer and inhale deeply...........

sigh.

Cologne can be a huge turn-off for me, especially if it's too strong.

I also have severe allergies, so anything that's woodsy, or "commercial" (i.e., scents from Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, Tag, Axe, etc...), will have me running the other direction.

Instead, I prefer a natural scent, as in the smell of his soap, lingering on his skin. I don't want to smell a guy from 6 feet away. I want to be snuggled up to him, with my nose buried in his neck, before smelling anything.

LOL! I wish more people considered their fragrance habits before leaving the house. In general, more than one squirt, is too much. If anyone can smell you coming, you're doing it all wrong!

My dad wore Old Spice, so I still like it a bit (but for nostalgia, not that it makes me want to get close - that's a little too weird for me) - so mostly l like the more designer stuff. I rarely recognize the scent, but if it seems to match the guy -that's what works for me -
