i agree... not really a vanity type situation.. more of a confidence/comfortability... I wouldn't want to sit on a date with someone and worry if they were looking at the zit or my eyes LOL

but yea ill admit ive cancelled a couple for not feeling up to the activity planned or needed some ME time or ive replanned them with something else than originally planned for something more laid back

If it was me, I'd either: do my best to cover it up, then maybe make a joke about it during the date (depends on how the date is going). Or, I'd pop it, do my best to make it go away/cover it up. It all depends on how close to the date the zit-discovery is..

This was an interesting question - I know I would want to hide away until the ummm condition passed but I keep hearing my mom in my head, "You never ever cancel a date with a man if you have already agreed to it."

My grandfather told that to my mom once. It was when my mom did not want to go out with my dad (apparantely my dad was the "cool" guy and my mom was a little intimidated). But my grandfather made her go because she had already agreed and the rest I guess is history...

I can understand not wanting to go with a big blemish on my head but I would go just because it is the right thing to do at least according to my mom and my late grandfather.
