I know....another reality show. But for some reason, I find myself hooked on this show. Some of the guys are great, and some are really clueless about dating & choosing the right woman for a lasting relationship.

In some cases she does match female millionaires, but the majority of her clients are male. She seems to do a pretty good job with the matching and claims a 99% success rate.

I wish there were personal matchmakers for those of us who aren't millionaires. I think it'sa great idea! I personally would be willing to pay (within reason) for a personalized service such as this.....would any of you?

I have seen the show once or twice and I would be willing to try this service if she had a 99 percent success rate for those of us not millionaires! I imagine when you are a millionaire you have a huge pool to draw from.

There was another show on cable about some matchmaker for us regular folks. Her name was Patti from Buffalo New York and she had good tips about dating although most of it was common sense. She has been on Oprah, as well.

For some reason I haven't had much luck with friends as matchmakers. Guess i will have to be my own matchmaker.

There used to be a show about a regular matchmaker called Confessions of a matchmaker on A&E. That one was better than the millionare one. You can still see episodes online.

I was getting emails when I posted a craigslist singles ad from some woman that wanted to be my matchmaker. You can probably find them, they probably cost a lot of money.

I think there are plenty of matchmakers who do not require a minimum income / net worth in clients, but personal service is expensive, whatever you’re buying, so naturally any such service attracts more-successful individuals.

Personally, I would not pay for match-making unless I was really wealthy.

I've caught, I think, 3 or 4 shows. I'm not sure of the 99% success rating as the shows I watched had at least one of the matches being a failure. It might not be indicative, but still ...

Overall, I don't much agree with the gal ...some of her advice is ok, but she's way too overboard on the guy treating the woman as some kind of queen, even suggested a couple of times that she should be put up on a pedestal.

Would I? Meh, probably not.

I will have to check out the other matchmaker show online....sounds good.

Yes, some of her advice I don't agree with, but some is spot on. As far as women being put on a pedestal, if youknow manyolder couples who have been married a long time, that is how the men treat their wives. I believe it's a two way street and the respect & admiration should be reciprocated...but it has to start somewhere!

I LOVE this show. It's wildly entertaining and nothing more. Patti looks like a cross between a man and a horse. And she claims that she's happy not being married to her boyfriend that she's dated FOREVER...she doesn't do a good job at selling her personal happiness by saying that she's immersed in her career. As for her 99% success rate. What factors does she use for considering a success? I think she gauges success if she's able to get a client a single date from her service.

OMGosh....that's funny.

In one episode she did state the number of people that she had matched that were married, and the number that were in relationships. It actually seemed like quite a high number.

You would think finding a match for a millionaire would be easy, but these guys are VERY picky. Unfortunately, it does show that money can buy almost anything.

Did you really think they were picky? I didn't get that impression. They seemed to want good looking women and had some specifications but I just didn't see them being too picky, but then I only watched a few shows.
