I was matched with someone whose profile caught my interest. He seems like a nice guy who has a lot going for him.Last week, I decided to make the first move and send him some questions. I noticed that he viewed my profile (my photos are available) before I sent the questions and has done so again a couple of times since I sent them. He has not responded, though. I am wondering if that means he's not all that interested and I should just close him out? If somebody has time to view your profile several times, then I'd think he'd have time to respond to questions and sendthe 5 he choseback to you. Maybe I am wrong, though. Any thoughts?
It get frustrating. I had some one send me an icebreaker and now won't respond. Why do they bother in the 1st place. I think some are just lazy so I think if they can't send a simple email then they probably are lacking in other areas of there life so I close them. Whats sad is there are so few that you want to communicate with and then you have to close them for no responce.

He may be a non-paying member, he may be ambivalent about you and duringhis repeatedviews of your profilehe's debating whether or nothe'll give you a shot, or he may be innundated with tons of other matches because he filters nearly no one out...does the reason really matter?

The reality is he's not making himself available for correspondence, so he's really of no use to you anyway. I've had this happen a few times, and after I've closed them after a week, they evendidn't send a final response. Good riddance, lol.

Give it a week , then close that thang. Even if they are a non-paying member, if it takes them longer than a week to join and respond ... then they can't be interested enough to be worth your time.

Like most have said he probaly isn't a paying member.

One other idea you can try is wait till a free communication weekend and send him a nudge. If you have already sent him a nudge you can't do that again though. I think you only have one icebreaker per stage also

There are a number of reasons that he may not have responded.

He may be a non-paying member as others have suggested. However, most times a non-paying member is not active on eHarmony and does not view profiles or do anything else. LSS has no doubt closed many a good match because of his impatience, of course he does already have his Hottea!!! (not sure why I have to put 3 exclamtion points after Hottea).

He may be a non-paying member and has to wait till payday to be able to sign up so he can respond.

As one other person said he likely has a lot of other matches and he may have some in OC or may even have had a date or two but is not sure if any of the other matches will work out. I would think that it should be first come first served.

At least he has not closed you out so he is at least somewhat interested in you. Unless you have tons of matches and just want to clean out your inbox keeping him open while you pursue other matches is no big deal.

Perhaps his wife or girlfriend won't let him respond. Maybe he is just window shopping. The same thing happens from the ladies. Some women just will not respond nor will they just close the match. If I am not interested I close the match. We are all different. If he is worth your time he would have responded. Are you looking for a partner that never calls you unless he is horney? Move on Goldengirl. You deserve better!
