I don't.

But, if I ever did, I wouldn't continue on by contacting people he knows to inquire about him.

I've done it a few times, if they told me some things about themselves that I found extremely impressive. I recently dated a woman who told me she'd been on Oprah recently. Since I don't meet Oprah guests everyday, I Googled her to satisfy my curiosity. Thankfully, she was telling the truth. I'm sure some women Google me too, so I don't think it's a big deal.

No, nor would I check their credit history, their party affiliation, their membership in AARP or their driving record.. It is just a "date"

I was once in the audienceat Oprah, but I don't think you can find that out by Googling.

I will Google anyone and everyone -- whether date material or not...lol. (What did you say your name was?)

of course....this is internet dating. Its just good sense to google someone. I wouldn't hire a PI or pay money to check credit or criminal history, but there is nothing wrong with a simple google search to see if things check out. (they are who they say)

still take it with a grain of salt (some of us have stupid things online that are not reflective of us) and of course some people do not have anything on the internet to be found.

lord knows i do......lol

I'm sure people have googled me. I google people for various reasons, butI do not ask them questions about what I discover. (I'm not very proficient at on line research yet, but I know information is not always accurate.) Since potential employers, as well as guys interested in me, are trying to learn about me, why shouldn't I use google as well? I've even googed myself--and what is there is mostly useless. It pays to be secretive--too much information can be shooting oneself in both feet.

Sorry, neardc. You need to access a computer located on Uranus to discover the really good stuff about me.
