I am 5.8" and overweight ... Not ugly overweight but overweight. And I do NOT make a gazillion dollars and I have an accent. I guess my personality counts for nothing. Oh well, I will just wait till I find a woman who is not superficial yes I am working on my weight but come on, I am not 25 LOL .... I really really would love to know what turns people off the most when they go out on a date with me. They all say I am such a nice person etc ... Anyways .... off topic as usual, sorry I was jsut rambling on as I usually do :P

How do you know that women aren't closing you for your height or income?

Just like I have no clue why I get closed from guys....I don't know their preferences...they just don't choose me....

So not sure how this can be 'bunk'? It was based on thousands of women and their preferences calculated....Someone's height was not as important if they made good money...

Just like men put up with a lot more junk from a woman who is smokin hot! That's certainly true

The convo with Insertscreenname about the show was when they mentioned closing people on the spot...before having any communication or going on a date...

Many first dates don't make it to a 2nd....It really isn't something you are doing "wrong"...or even turning someone off...it's just not a match....I never get offended or upset if someone decides to not date me...It's just not meant to be...next!

I don't take it personally...really....having two people meet, have fantastic chemistry, and then connect emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually doesn't happen all the time...

I just meet someone on that first date with the only goal but having a great time, meeting someone new, and enjoying our day...If it works..great...if not...no biggie..

I do not let things get me down easily I agree, sometimes people do not click. I always thought that if I didn't have an accent, I would do much better, but it is what it is, and I am dealing with it as well as I can.

Also, just because one person's experience is different doesn't make something untrue. There will always be outliers.

I didn't agree w/ the height thing either. I don't get hung up that much on height, but apparently lots of women do. As long as the guy is still good looking, face wise, to me, and has a good personality (no napoleon complex!) that meshes well with mine and I think he would be a good husband and father, his height matters very little to me. But, maybe if I was taller (I'm 5'3"), it would matter more? I don't know.

Once I dated a woman(One date, turned out she was only (seperated) who was 5.8" and she was very questioning of my height and if I would mind if she wore high heels and how I would feel etc. It was like I was being interrogated .... She was a tad taller than me with high heels, and I thought cool ! I just have to lift my head up a tad to kiss her.

Is it just woman who are keen on the height of their match ? Do man care as well ? Being slightly shorter then average I guess I do not know any better but ask.
