WE LOST CONTACT WHEN HE WENT OVER SEA'S TO PLAY BASKETBALL AND NOW 4 YEARS LATER HE FOUND ME ON FACEBOOK AND WANT TO START A RELATIONSHIP AGAIN AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. DEEP DOWN INSIDE I STILL AM IN LOVE WITH HIM BUT AFTER 4 YEARS PEOPLE DO TEND TO CHANGE. SO SHOULD I GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT AND SEE WERE IT GOES OR JUST I JUST LET IT BE.:confus ed:

Give it a shot. There might be something there and you'll only know if you meet.

Of course, you should keep in mind that he is an athlete. You can't be sure how many of his old FB friends he's reached out to, so move slowly.

Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to go meet and explore the possibility. Just don't assume that you can pick up where you left off and don't blindly leap into a relationship. You've changed, he's changed - it's pretty much starting over from square one, if you both decide to do it. Also, be sure that you aren't misunderstanding friendly, hey I'm back in town and trying to reconnect with people I knew, contact with I want to be in a relationship with you right now request.

DancingFool brings up a good point about making sure you understand this guy's reasons for reconnecting. It won't hurt to meet and see how things go. You both have changed a lot in four years, so it is definitely beginning again to get to know each other. The man you say you love may be a very different man today, so try not to jump the gun with your expectations.

Also, it is a lot easier to read posts when a person uses both upper- and lowercase letters. Many people will react to an all caps post as if someone is shouting. I am guessing you may not be aware of this, and I wanted to point it out politely before someone else points it out not so politely.

it depends on what he said to you on Facebook. ie. his approach and also it's probably best to establish if he is planning on disappearing again for a few years at some point in the not distant future.

during those 4 years why did you "lose contact"?
