Men, and I'm directing this at men, STOP saying you will call someone when you have no intention of doing so.

Just don't even utter the phrase (or a variation thereof) "I will call you in a few days" unless you plan to do so.

If you have to physically restrain yourself from saying you will call when you know you're not going to, then do so. End the conversation without that phrase.

If you are not interested, then you are not interested. But do not think you are being nice by saying you are going to call. You are a liar if you do so. Simple as that.

Men, stop doing this. You are only hurting someone else's feelings which tells us women you are:

1. A liar;
2. Insecure
3. Immature
4. A player;
5. Using us as a back up plan.

If you're on eHarmony, you have an expectation of looking for a relationship. Behave like an adult and look but don't trample on people to get there.

If you're interested, then say so.

If you're not, don't bother and frankly, don't bothering pursuing us in the first place.

STOP SAYING YOU WILL CALL WHEN YOU DO NOT PLAN TO!!!

Get over it.... it's as casual as "talk to you later". The world and it's idioms, phrases,etc. will not change for you. It's better to adapt to the world and understand things for what they are. This anger is hurting you and will never, ever make people change and use meaningless parting phrases differently. Adapt and relax.

Fixed that for ya.

Wait ... it's not supposed to work both ways? Why how silly of me!

I disagree. It's rude and inconsiderate and constitutes a blatant lie.
There are tons of complaints from women about men that I find superfluous, trivial, and downright silly, but this is a completely valid point.

Similarly, to the women...don't give out your phone # if you have no intention of accepting a date.

Meal-hoarders will go out with you again if you plan dates that offer food she can refrigerate for a few days.

Consider that.

Now that you've gotten that off your chest....stop putting so much stock in the words of a stranger and watch for their actions instead. You'll be less angry, life will be more enjoyable and you'll probably live longer :-)

And these are minor nitpicks but:
1. unless the guy tricked or deceived you into providing him a benefit to your detriment on the first date, I don't see how he can be labeled a 'player' for not calling you back
2. If a guy never calls you back after a date, he's not very good at back up planning is he? lol!

Yeah, it sucks when people don't do what they say they will or otherwise let you down. But it sucks more when you let it get to you and won't let it go. Don't turn a minor annoyance into a major issue- cause it's not hurting him, only you.

Wow, if you blow your stack at this, I'd hate to see what happens when something serious happens.
