Well, I guess I am just the fish that keeps getting tossed back into the pond as a "non-keeper", 'cause there were some that I would have fought tooth and claw to keep. Alas, it just didn't work out that way. Sooooo... there's nothing wrong with them, but there's something wrong with me.

Or maybe I really am the unicorn...
I don't your history mitchell, I only really know mine. I definitely am not ruling anyone out based on what I originally wrote about, I'm only curious about it... I think now that marriage is not such a standard in society we will see more and more people in these types of situations.

Would most find It concerning for the longest relationship a 37 year old man having ever been in being: 2 years??? Then a couple 1 year relationships?? Its just seems a bit concerning.
At least he had a couple 1 year relationships. I'm at least his age and I haven't had a 3 date relationship. This is what dating as become. It's all based on previous experience.

Yes, perhaps that hes never been married is an issue as well. It makes me wonder if relationships arent of an incredibly high importance to him. Which is fine for him but I do like guys who want/need companionship...
I wouldn't interpret this just by length alone. Instead when the time is right I'd start probing gently about his attitudes about relationships, why things in the past didn't work out, and what he's learned from them.
