Right off the bat without reading your thread, people who think others are playing "games" almost always have issues/baggage to work through. 99% of other people have better things to do than to play games with you. They do what makes them happy, often but not always with some thought to the feelings of others.
i wondering if u play games w/ people....

i totally disagree w/ this attitude. Many people out there are so selfish, rude and discourteous that they don't even realize they're running someone through the ringer. Others do it intentionally b/c it amuses them, it works, it's exciting, etc. ALL THE TIME i hear from males and females about "playing the game", that u gotta do "this" and "that". There are all these "rules" people follow, and even if u don't, they do and it will make things difficult for u.

for example, there's a girl at the place I work that is very attractive and most of the guys like her. Apparently, she slept w/ two guys from work (not at the same time, there was about a year inbetween) but only after they hounded her for a long time, i'm talking weeks and weeks. She said no to both of them but they just kept asking and asking and asking until she agreed. This specific act happened w/ both guys so it wasn't just one of them. Now, I did not know of her "activities" when I asked her out. I was still new and ignorant. Not surprisingly, she said no and gave some lame excuses. She also flat out lied about seeing someone, she was totally single at the time and still is. But the point is that all the long time workers say she does this all the time: she rejects and rejects until she finally says yes. It's her "game", dangling guys at the end of her hook and playing w/ them until they ask her out enough times.

If you're interested, say yes. If not, say no. It's not hard people, just takes some guts and courtesy.

While I get where you are coming from, Chris ...oh, if it were only a perfect world ...your perspective is more than a little bit naive.

You need to watch "Hitch" sometime.

I've always been curious about this. People play coy, people feign ignorance, people would do anything to escape who they are in order to find a woman or man to accept them for who they are. What kind of sense does that make?

As naive as this may sound, why is it so hard for people to be themselves?

Heartbreak hurts no matter what, so you might as well avoid the games altogether and play it straight. Why would anyone willingly choose to play against the truth and adopt a more lovable persona? Even if it works, that only means you'll have to keep up the act...every...single...day. Lies, no matter how light, never serve a good purpose. No one should live a cowardly life. Besides, games are for children.
I dont get posts like this.

When someone asks you "How are you?" do you launch into a detailed explanation of how you are? If not, don't you think that's a lie? I mean why play games? If someone asks you a question, why not answer it honestly?

People "play games" with each other all the time.
