There is this girl in the office that I am attracted to ( she started working about 1 month ago). We work in different departments so we do not get to interact at all. I've run into her in the break room,parking lot and elevator before but I haven't said or attempted to talk to her during those encounters. At this point I'm afraid that she might be turned off because we ran into each other and I didn't initiate a conversation. Should I still try to approach her? and should I be more aggressive (such as walking up to her desk and introduce myself) or should I wait for another random encounter opportunity?

I think you could walk up to her desk, apologize for not welcoming her when she first started and state that you'd like to introduce yourself. Just be careful about interoffice romances. Some are not allowed and some are more trouble than they are worth in the long run.
