It's possible that his subscription ended.

I think if I'd "poofed' on a guy, I certainly wouldn't respond to " R u ok" messages. Primarily because I know I'm being discourteous with my disappearing act and to keep up the charade, I would have to ignore these intermittent "R u ok" inquiries. Any response from the poofer would illicit dialogue with the poofee which is what I'm trying to avoid.
Which is why I think it defies logic to not close because one can avoid the charade and just be done with it instead of trying to hide from it. It's like cleaning house. Wouldn't it better than to let the dust pile up?

No. Defying gravity defies logic. Men who fail to return an email after a week are just rude...that's it. No more, no less.

Why can't YOU close the match?

Good question. I've only been on eH for about a month and a half so I don't know what to make of this, and probably will start closing these guys out after I get enough advice from this board to figure out why the hell men do this.

Well, has it occurred to anyone that his subscription ran out? In your open communication, did you exchange email addresses or phone numbers? If not, he can't contact you.

Oh and don't get me started on the whole POOF thing!!! I am not in the mood for that this week!! haha

It sounds like he's not interested, but even if he is..do want to keep in touch with a guy who keeps you hanging like that?
