I have known this guy a very long time about 15 years. We had been separated for couple years very often; then got back together. Each time we separated, I am in pain; it's more painful each time. His family does not want him to date...maybe just me. He is a very family orientation guy. He comes to see me if he does not have any plan with his family (grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, buddies, etc.); I felt like he only see me to spare time. I am at the stage in life that I want a marriage. He does not want it and wants to be friend. My heart ache!

We live in a rural area so I usually see him and his family 2-4 times a year. Should I go different direction or totally ignore when I see them? Must I put a red X on this file like I never met him and his family?
Back and forth, back and forth, 15 years, each time more painful than the last. You want marriage, he doesn't. Yes, I would use that big red X. You've had enough!

I would not give a man more than a year. Not if I wanted marriage. But then, I'm not known for my patience.
