He still hasn't returned my call when he gave me his phone number.

So, this guy requested communication with me on eharmony. We emailed each other back and forth a few times a day for about a week. He then asked me to give him a call if I wanted to talk on the phone. I said I would like that and gave him my number. After 3 days of no communication, he emailed me again to apologize for not responding, saying he was busy working. He asked me again, if he gave me his number, would I want to call him. I said that I would give him a call on a specific day and he said he was looking forward to talking with me. Well, the day I was supposed to call him, I emailed him that he never gave me his number. The day I was supposed to call him, he emailed me his number. That night I called him and left a message with my number (again). That was 3 days ago and I still haven't heard from him! What gives? Why would he insist that I call him and give me his number and not respond at all?

[FONT=Arial]This seems to be a decline in his interest at maintaining communication with you - it’s quite common. I would continue to communicate, but keep it on the pace that he is. Meanwhile, just keep other matches alive too.

He's busy asking for lots of phone numbers, you and plenty of other women. That's why he's "busy at work"...work....... playing the field.

Why worry about it? If he can't commit to a phone call, is he really going to be good relationship material?

Yup. Don't worry about trying to win over a guy who doesn't want to make the effort.

I agree...move on...don't worry about it...don't make the effort anymore and don't accept any reasons why if he does call or email. If you can't trust him with something as small as a return phone call then how will you trust him with anything bigger, namely your heart.

Oh dear Lord, this guy is looking for a willing player to do all of the heavy lifting. Do not ever call a guy or agree to call a guy esp. before you have even met!

Stop stop stop and move on. Next time don't respond if he asks you to call him, and dont respond if he doesnt ask for your number. If someone sends an "excuse" email, ignore it.

I like what you did when he first asked if you would call him and you gave him your number. A man interested in a woman should pursue her. So he could have and should have called you.
Then 3 days of nothing and another email when HE could have called you? he asks you to call him again (and fails to leave a number)? he has your number! He can call you!
Sounds like he may be confusing you with some others he is emailing, and it seems he wants a lot of women to be chasing him. You gave him the chance to chase you. He didn't respond to you. So forget him.

He's obviously not interested. I would move on. Even though you may have thought you had a connection, you've never met him, so you don't really know him. You shouldn't have to put in that much effort to get someone to give you a call back. Stop calling him and emailing him and find someone who puts in as much effort as you do.
