Hey I wrote on my troubles in the past. You can read about it here if you want:

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...heart-out.html

http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/da...tml#post583193

Short Summary of the above is girl likes me first, I begin to like her, nothing happens, she loses interest, i never do, I am in despair for long time, at the brink I tell her how i feel and pour my heart out, she doesnt accept or reject me just says we need to hang out more,

She ignores me for a bit, then comes back to me, we hang out alone a lot more, even grab a bite to eat alone get to know each other, summer comes and go our separate ways, we text back and forth for a month and talk on the phone, then she starts ignoring my texts, finally responds after 2 weeks.

Now she only responds to 1 out of every 5 texts probably, never an ongoing conversation.

Should I just stop texting her and try to move on? Or any advice would be good.

Im pretty direct about stuff so I was thinking about just asking her if she doesnt want me to text her anymore because I'll stop if she doesnt.

To answer your question -
NO, you should never stop trying or hoping. What's the alternative?

But you should be extremely careful who you pour your heart and soul out to - you only get one of each, and only one brain too!

The right girl will pour her own heart and soul back to you. And you'll want and need to help each other as a result of that, and more.

So, definitely keep trying. But be careful and always follow your "gut feeling" thoughts to protect your heart and your soul from the wrong people. When it feels right, you'll simply know what to do, without any need to overanalyze.

And only the very Best of Luck to you in your search! I hope you find what you've been looking for, and soon!

Dude, given the above, she is just not that into you.

Should I just stop texting her and try to move on? Or any advice would be good.
Forget the texting.

Im pretty direct about stuff ....
Then call her outright and ask her what you want to know.

....so I was thinking about just asking her if she doesnt want me to text her anymore because I'll stop if she doesnt.
Then just move on

I am thinking you are rather young, your whole life is ahead of you.

Forget the texting. If you want to have a conversation then have a conversation in person or on the phone.

hey Newbie...

I assume you are young. So, here is my advice to you. If she is not responding...then that is your answer. Move on.

You may still carry a torch, but she is not. Trust me, when someone is interested in you...YOU WILL KNOW!

I don't think she is the right girl for you, hate to admit it but when a girl doesn't text you for a good while its either she is busy or trying to get rid of you without saying it. There are so many women out there who would love to get to know you there is a saying you have to kiss a few frogs before your prince(ss) appears.

Move on as fast as you can! Start dating other people to get your mind off this girl.

You may be trying too hard, or you may be reaching too high. Know thyself. Are you a 10, a 7, or whatever compared to similar guys your age? Look for self-evaluation tools in this site and others. Then shoot for a lady with a similar number. Once you've got a good degree of clear self evaluation and a healthy dose of self-love going, you'll be better prepared to draw the line and either quit with a smile and move on, or act on the signals and act accordingly, with total confidence.
