I've been away from posts this weekdealing with plumbing and hot water heater issues. So here it goes...

Does amassing themany pieces of mind equate to attaining peace of mind? Or is peace of mind some illusionary state of intermingling factors all converging in your mind's "happy" place? Or better still is peace of mind easily ignored (root word of ignorance is to ignore) and not given as much focus as the more frontal aspects of desire? How important is peace of mind to you?

Peace of mind isn't some superficial reality, so how is your peace of mind attained?

Please feel free to weigh in with your thoughts!

We can read, study, and debate about how to 'get' it all we want, but it's been there within you all along. All of the above offer gimpses of and roadsigns towards attaining peace of mind. The only way to attaining peace of mind is realizing it. That peace is at the core of every person walking the earth. Many are either oblivious to its existence or willfully ignorant of its power thanks to the plethora of preoccupations (worry, fear, greed, hunger, and other mentalities) available to us.

Once you discover that peace, joy that surpasses happiness is soon to follow. Happiness comes from without and is fleeting. The worldly things we accumulate only keep us happy for so long until we look for the next challenge to overcome. The joy that you discover flows from and cannot be taken away from you.

Digging down and discovering this inner peace is like swimming to the bottom of a great river to find a powerful undercurrent. The storms will inevitably come to disturb the surface, but that current is uneffected. People find themselves, a deeper capacity for love, joy, and other good things in that current. Be warned: there is a cost to diving so deep...your ego won't survive the the journey.

The storms will inevitably come to disturb the surface, but that current is unaffected. People find themselves, a deeper capacity for love, joy, and other good things in that current. Satisfied Mind

Satisfied Mind

(By Rhodes & Hayes)(Starrite Music)

How many times have you heard someone say
"If I had his money, I could do things my way?"
Little they know that it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten with a satisfied mind.

Once I was winning in fortune and fame
Everything that I dreamed for to get a start in life's game
Suddenly it happened, I lost every dime
But I'm richer by far with a satisfied mind

Money can't buy back your youth when you're old
Or a friend when you're lonely, or a love that's grown cold
The wealthiest person is a pauper at times
Compared to the man with a satisfied mind

When my life is ended, my time has run out
My trials and my loved ones, I'll leave them no doubt
But one thing's for certain, when it comes my time
I'll leave this old world with a satisfied mind
I'll leave this old world with a satisfied mind

Going to sleep without worry. Doing your best and being part of the solution, instead of being part of the pproblem.

It'snot the world around you, but the beliefsyou have about the world that cause suffering. (Time to change the filter!) Challenge those beliefs and thoughts and you will have a peaceful mind.
