I have just started dating after many years of being alone. Recently a i dated a man who was crazy over me, at first. He proclaimed how he found the woman of his dreams blah blah blah...When i returned the interest he chilled off. Then i lost myself, oh it was awful, i felt he was testing me and critisizing me over many issues. He really got the fat head (i am thin) he is overweight and i feel like he was jealous and controlling and judgemental. I must say i became pretty insecure and acted like i never have. All stupid and goonie!Well- he is gone now and i have to say it was a good learning experiance-BE YOURSELFso do not give up and do not let people get u down. You aren't defined by one bad dating experiance!!!

Wow . . . were you dating my ex boyfriend? There "are" men and women out there just like this and they can blind side you with their outward charm and charisma. I went through something similar about 7 months ago. It was a nightmare and yeah, I felt really stupid and did some stupid stuff but ya know? I walked away with a few chewed up feathers, but I know I'm gonna be okay. Being on these discussion Boards has helped me a great deal, because I found out I wasn't the only one going through a lot of things we all go through as humans trying to find a lasting relationship. So, welcome to the human race . . . and keep moving!
