This one is new to me, but other inflammatory conditions have been reputed to cause this same weight game symptom.

I know of a white blood cell (infection ) mediated syndrome ...where the macrophage wbc's are sounding the alarm " Hold everything we're gonna need it to fight this infection." This is new but in the same line of causation,

The focus of the article is regarding dairy allergy and it alleges that up to 30 lbs per year may be gained because of it. It also explains that this allergy is different to lactose intolerance which makes itself well known in one's body.

I'm not sure I buy into the argument that it is an allergy to dairy, but I'm betting it has more to do with what we feed our dairy cows and what antibiotics we give them as standard for care.

I don't like milk, except for a tiny amount mixed with lots of coffee, so I should be safe.

Actually, the article brought up that dairy is hidden in lots of foods. Do you like cupcakes? They might have milk or other dairy as part of their ingredient list? Like butter or margarine? Butter is made from the cream off the top of the milk, and many margarines have at least one component of dairy in their ingredient list.

I haven't had a cupcake in a really long time. Maybe I'll visit a bakery today and pick one up, you know, just for research/experimental purposes.

Every day there is new quackery to make people young, slim etc. Sad how much money is wasted on that.
