Down the road from where I live, there is a turtle crossing sign. It's the typical yellow diamond with an image of a turtle in the middle of it, placed over an 'x'. Underneath the sign is a smaller sign that says 'May-September.' Evidently our area gets a lot of turtle traffic over the summer. lol

Ummm. Why did the chicken cross the road? He wanted to show the armadillo how it's done.
(I guess you've never been to the south)
You haven't visited my Debate group recently, have you? I have definitely been there, obviously NOT the STATE( drunk, or location) you were in. I don't understand the fascination with grits either-they are just a hot breakfast food that they serve with dinner instead-definitely not any kind of food to write home about to me.

I've got one about driving down around The Ohio State campus area. A former bf and I were traveling in his car(vw bug)and he kept up haranguing female drivers, and how terrible they were. I had to listen to this non stop for about 20 min. and of course had had my fill, when to our surprise, at a 4 lane road with cement dividers, in the left turn lane, here sat a van facing backwards on the wrong side of the divider. And guess which gender was driving? A MALE !(I was almost in tears trying NOT to laugh then)

All I heard from him was, "DON'T SAY A WORD.

I didn't.

Suzie PS, This is a case of God having the last laugh. And Mark never said another word about female drivers ever again during our relationship.

I don't think so. I've never seen it anywhere but on that one road.

I've seen it at a few areas along the Jersey shore. (Not for sea turtles, but for turtles around the backwaters.)

This is funny, only because it did not (to my knowledge) end in tragedy: I'm driving on Interstate 80, and the cars in front of me start slowing down and swerving around pieces of furniture and other household items strewn about the roadway. About a half mile down the road, there's a pickup truck parked on the shoulder, and two guys trying desperately to load stuff back into the pickup. I couldn't help but to crack up laughing. Clearly, moving day went awry for these gentlemen, and clearly neither of them had heard of that great invention call a rope.

I didn't SEE this on our outerbelt-I-270, but they had one side of the highway closed for most of the day because a semi spilled FERTILIZER all over it when it crashed. SMELLED " LOVELY" for days afterward.

Horse towing out a car that was stuck in mud. The funnier part was that there was a tow truck stuck in the same mud not too far from the car. Sunk to the axles. Wished I had a camera for that.

You and me both. Makes us horse owners mighty proud. Proves that " horse power" is still necessary in this world of high tech industry. Wonder what they would have done if no one had had a horse?
