Chapter two, two wheelers.

I've been both a bicyclist and motorcyclist in my driving career, I still ride the bicycle once in awhile and hope to own another MC again. Both can be a great way to get around, but....

Motorcyclists who speed, weave in and out of traffic and cut off other vehicles, usually by inches. Paramedics have a name for people who ride motorcycles aggressivly...organ donors. If a motorcyclist miscalculates, and dumps his bike inches in front of a car, going at expressway speeds, the driver of the car has zero time to react. Chances are the car will run over the cyclist or drag him 100' before the driver of the car can even move his foot from the gas to the brake. Probably 300' if the driver is on his phone.

Import 'crotch rocket' riders who attempt to ride wheelies or do other stunts on crowded public roadways...see "organ donor"

"Loud pipes save lives" HD guys...note, in CO, wearing a helmet is optional if you're and adult. Usually these guys wear only a filthy rag tied around their head, as protection against head-butting a truck bumper or the asphalt, but are counting on their unlawfully loud tail pipes to alert drivers. I might still not be able to hear you inside my 3500 lb steel and glass fortress, with my windows rolled up, and A/C and radio on. Also the pipes won't do a thing for you if you fall off your tricycle miles from nowhere, and out of earshot of anyone. The only thing 'loud pipes' do is annoy me at 6am on a Sunday morning .

Bicyclists who don't think the rules also apply to them. A bicycle is a bona-fide vehicle in all 50 states, with the same rules and responsibilities, therefore you stop at stop signs and red lights, signal your intent, yeild right of way when you should, and ride with the flow of traffic, not against it. Can you imagine the chaos of someone driving a motorcycle, car, bus or 18-wheeler against traffic? Then it shouldn't be done with a bicycle either.

I don't like it when people get angry while driving. It's not a competition and no one has to be perfect. Anger causes accidents.

Relax. Don't get worked up about other drivers you'll never see again who might make you 20 seconds later than you would have been if they didn't exist.

Stop getting mad about cell phones. It's unlikely that they're really the problem.
