So, the other day I was in the grocery store and I spotted a Lady had opened a bottle of shampoo and was holding it up to her nose.

Now, me being super-extra-heavy-duty-sensible, when I run out I go to the store and get whatever is cheapest.

But, Ladies appear to give such products a good sniff and let their nose decide. Why ???

Therefore, would it make sense to sell a shampoo aged in oak casks, in case there are any connoisseurs out there?

So, she should select the shampoo for its functional attributes?

Your incredulity on this flabbergasts me!

I'm going to smell like the shampoo for a day or 2. And if I'm lucky enough to have someone burying his face in my hair, I want it to be a positive experience for him.

... of course it has to be sniffed.

The alternative is to buy "fragrance-free". Then it doesn't interfere with pheromones, which I think is the best way to go.

I have never smelled shampoo before buying it in my life. And, I've always managed to smell pretty.

I think I will have to sniff you, just to be sure!

Can't say I have ever smelled shampoo before buying it. I buy the same kind every time I go to the store so there is no confusion. I go in, pick up what I always get and leave. I don't spend an hour in the shampoo isle trying to figure out the best scent.

Funny!

I usually buy shampoo from the salon so I've already smelled it and know I can live with it. On one occasion, I bought shampoo from the salon at the owner's recommendation without having used it first. It smelled like Play-Doh. I was assured this was a sexy smell by several men, but I just couldn't bring myself to walk around smelling Play-Doh all day. I ended up giving it away.

Perhaps the woman in the store had a similar experience and was just making sure...

I don't smell shampoo before I buy it......I figured out long ago that most shampoos smell good, so no need to smell before purchase.
