Quite a few people have interesting user names on here. Sometimes I wonder if I'm pronouncing them correctly or associating it with what it really means or is supposed to allude to.

My name, AndieIsMe - I think it's fairly straight forward. My first name is Andrea and my nickname is Andie. I used to go by DandyAndie, a name given to me by a close friend in high school, but that particular name attracts too many undesirables online. I quickly discovered this while using AOL. So, I choose to use the new moniker for most online activities.

What does your (nick) name mean? How did you get it? Have you ever had a different one?

Great topic, Andie!

My screen name refers to a song by Professor Longhair, as well as a great music club in New Orleans. I love the music and have been to NO several times, so it seemed like a natural when I had to come up with a name.

I actually have another nickname (from college) that I used for other internet activity, but like yours, it attracted some unwanted attention.

shapeShifter refers to the fact that, more than most, I'm not the same person I was a year ago. And my metamorphosis is far from complete.

My screen name does not have a very interesting story behind it, and it fairly easy to figure out how I came up with it. I live in Upstate NY and I am a female.
When I decided to sign up on ehaha, I tried a couple different names that I liked, but it turned out they were all being used, so in frustration, I quickly came up with upstategirl.

In some of my work, I deal with visual representations, hence "picture." It is also a play on the phrase "picture perfect," but these images are, as I am, far from perfect.

So, is it pronounced Tipi (tipee) Tina?

And here I thought you were just a scifi fan!

Yeah, last resort was kinda the way AndieIsMe came about, I tried many versions of AndieIAm or IAmAndie or something similar, but they were all taken.

Perfect way to embrace yourself!

Mine is rather uninspired, although it gained a new and unintended pronunciation based on something I used to say kind of a lot around here. lol

lindsey (my first name) k (first letter of my last name)

Pronunciation (unintended) linds - eeeeek!
