After reading a few EHA threads and recalling comments made IRL, I have an easy question for the guys here.

Would you have an issue dating a women who can't or won't wear heels? Does it make a difference if it's can't vs won't?

I haven't done any online dating (don't have plans too join any sites), so am I required to disclose on Date 1 that he'll never see me in heels (at least not standing up )?

I know not all men are obsessed with women's footwear choices, but it seems to be fairly common that heels are the preferred choice (when appropriate - although I know a guy who is bummed that his wife doesn't wear heels while at the cabin!)

In my situation, the conversation around heels would lead into a conversation about a permanent physical disability as the reason behind footwear issue; one that doesn't have much of an impact greater than that, though.

If I were doing this online, I'm sure I'd mention the issue in the profile in some way - but in meeting people IRL, I don't tend to carry around a printed resume for them to read ahead of time.

How important is it?

lol. No, that would not an issue for me--but you may want to date someone a bit closer to your height if you can't wear high heels.

Di, I'm 5'10 barefooted so I rarely wear heels because I don't like to tower over the guys I'm going out with. I've never had a guy say anything to me about this. Of course, I live in the flip-flop state.

I hate heels, but I would never say anything if she did wear them.

I think I have to move to Houston or FL

And well, if I need to stick to guys closer to my own height (5'5"), I guess I'll have a lot to choose from based on the number of threads re short men who can't find anyone to date them

Back when I could wear heels, my ex husband would always choose heels when I asked his opinion. And even now, guys will comment that I never seem to wear heels - even male co-workers. I just never realized so many people were paying attention to my feet!!

Yeah, I actually prefer if girls don't wear heels, since I am 5'9". The girl I am seeing would be about 6 feet tall with heels, and she is nice enough to wear flats. But I don't ever press her to. It's completely her choice- I'm secure enough in my height.

I'm 5'10" and wear flats most of the time, sometimes shoes that have heels of an inch or two. I've never had any complaints from guys. I save my really high heels for play (think striptease).

No. Absolutely none. In fact, I can't even get my mind around the concept that a man would have an issue with that-- it's just bizarre (to me, anyway).

Nope, not a bit.

Nope, not at all. I see no reason to even mention it.

I've never known ANY who are. In fact, none of the guys I've known has ever mentioned the topic.

Zero. Have fun dating and don't worry about your shoes. Comfortable is sexy.

No, those spike heels really mark up the leather sheets.
