She's probably kooky. Just like the life coach I know.

Fair point, and I can understand not wanting to mix business with pleasure (to the extent that weeding through undesirable matches online constitutes pleasure ). However, I would not have been put off by an email that said "Sorry, I'm seeing someone else, but I wanted to answer your questions about life coaching." Frankly, the chance of a successful business relationship resulting from an email like that are probably no worse than the chances of a successful romantic relationship developing. Not that I'm interesting in hiring a life coach, but I do admit to being somewhat uniformed about the types of services they provide.
I did notice that the legal people who worked on my divorce were ready with recommendations for different services afterwards. I know that if I had a service that I thought a lawyer could offer to clients, I would try to make sure he had a few of my business cards to hand out, as well as a positive opinion of me. I just wouldn't do that if I met him on eH.
